We had an incident a few weeks ago where a student was trying to view a Shockwave video from the PBS website. When she tried to view the video Windows prompted her to enter an administrator password and would not display the video.
What was happening was that the webpage was trying to install an older version of Shockwave. The webpage was designed to work with Shockwave 10.4 which is a very outdated version as we are currently running version 11.5. This webpage was not designed to recognize the newer version of Shockwave installed on our computers.
Unfortunately we cannot do anything to assist these students with accessing this webpage. They will not be able to view this video on our computers.
