Just a reminder that the lab and adult computers do not have floppy drives.
If a patron has a floppy disk that they need to access they can:
- use a youth or teen computer
or
- borrow an external floppy drive from the librarians
If the patron wants to borrow an external floppy drive he/she will need to ask a librarian for it since they are kept in a locked drawer at the reference desk. The patron will have to leave some kind of ID; library card, driver's license, school id, etc.
The external floppy drive plugs into a USB port. USB ports are located on the front of the computer case. Once it is plugged into a USB port then the drive is ready to be used.
