1. Most new mobile devices do not support Adobe Flash. When you use the device's web browser, everything will go along fine and you can check magazines out, but then when you try to read them, you will be prompted to download and install Adobe Flash. THIS IS NOT POSSIBLE MOST OF THE TIME! What you really need to do is install the Zinio app on that device. The Zinio app takes care of the need for Flash.
2. There are links to all available apps at the bottom of the first Zinio page. From plymouthlibrary.org, click on "Download" on the left, then on the blue Zinio button at the bottom of the left side of the next page. On the following page, scroll all the way to the bottom for the links to the apps. Getting the correct app is easier here than it is by searching the individual app stores.
3. When you get the prompt to download and install Flash, just switch over to the app, log in, and your magazines will be there.
To summarize:
- Use the web browser on the device to check out the magazines.
- Use the app to read them.
There are a few exceptions of older devices where you can still enable Flash through its Settings and read magazines in the device's web browser (the old Kindle Fire, for one).
There are also some older devices that can't even support the app itself. In those cases, Zinio is just not available for use on those devices.
