Holly She is developing an instruction sheet for using Zinio. Ron will be back to work on Dec. 16.
Carol S. She thanked the staff members who helped out during last week’s power outage. Dave will be back to work on Dec. 11.
Tim Chess Club meets today. Brown Bag Books will be discussing “Unbroken” by Hillenbrand tomorrow. They will meet a week early next month due to the Christmas holiday.
Lauren There will be a drop-in Leftover Crafts program from 11-4 on Saturday.
Carol C. We are eagerly expecting four new Awe game computers soon. They will be plug-n-play. The Holiday Potluck will be at noon on Thursday, Dec. 19. Bayley still needs to talk with Carol S. before being allowed back into the library.
Kathy The last Medicare program is next week. She will do a program on Selecting a Tablet on Dec. 3. There will be no formal computer classes in December.
Susan S. On Saturday, Dec. 7 a group protesting Smart Meters will be in the Walldorf/Dunning rooms. There will be a Blood Drive on Dec. 27. The newsletter should be out sometime next week.
Frank He was unable to fix the public projector. The smart screen in the Friends Room did not survive the power outage. We do have a portable screen, however. Many Teen Zone outlets are not working. Due to vandalism, some of the data lines are not working, as well. A PAC at the standup kiosk station is broken.
Barb She has rescheduled all the teen programs that were cancelled due to the power outage. The Sci-Fi Book Discussion Group had 36 attendees. The next meeting will be on Dec. 20 and they will discuss “His Majesty’s Dragon”, a much more difficult book. There will be several programs in December: Dec. 4 – a program on how to get organized re. homework; Dec. 6 – video gaming; Dec. 11 – Superhero Gingerbreads; and Dec. 12 – STEM will be making lightbulbs.
