Reference Meeting Notes – November 27, 2012

Marjorie:  Thanks to all who participated in the “gift of reading” donations. The box for donations will be here until next week.

Local author book fair will be March 16. Information will be in the newsletter. There’s a form for interested authors to complete and send to Marjorie. Here’s a link to the event listing and the form

The veterans program for 11/28 is cancelled.

Susan:  The newsletter should be out by Friday.

This tax season the library will be the contact for appointments for seniors who want the AARP volunteers to prepare their taxes. The library will have an extension where participants can leave a message and then volunteers will call and schedule them.

Thanks to all who donated for Hurricanne Sandy relief.

If anyone has a good job for a volunteer, contact Susan.

Frank:  The web filter has been tightened. Staff members are needed to test the filter to determine if the filter works as intended and does not block legitimate information.

Barb:  We had a good turnout for DIA talk on the current exhibit.  Consider offering next year’s talk on the main exhibit twice – adding an afternoon time as well as the evening session. Also see if we can book both Waldorf and Dunning rooms.
