The TIP database is maintained by the Detroit Public Library. It includes information on human and social service agencies around southeast Michigan. This database is very helpful in locating local non-profits that offer assistance for things like food, health care, support groups, parenting education, and job search assistance.

Alice suggests scrolling through the categories to try to learn the terminology. Keyword only searches Infoline Taxonomy terms, not the whole text. Use relevant ZIP codes to narrow services and read through the whole service availability description before making any referral.
