Holly Carolyn Smith is a student who will be
doing 90 hours of observation here from May-August. Some patrons’ program registration changes
are being sent to the Registration inbox.
Staff can determine where these changes are sent when setting up their
program registration information in Evanced.
Staff agreed that changes should be sent to the email account of the staff
member doing the program, not to the Registration account.
Susan S. The new projector is on the cart and Susan
will have photo instruction sheets attached shortly. The projector accepts both VGA and HDMI
cables. Autistic students from Plymouth
Canton Schools will be here tomorrow morning for a tour of the library. The Spelling Bee will be held tomorrow.
Sue P. Due to construction, Contemporary Books
will be moved to April 21.
Barb Also due to construction, Books &
Bites will move to April 21 (Ghosts of War will be the discussion book)
and STEM will move to April 23. Minecraft has been loaded onto the Teen Zone
computers. It is accessed via the little
green bricks icon. Teens may log on with
their own accounts or play logged into our PDL account during Mix-It-Up. Barb attended a very interesting 3-D printer
workshop.
Tim Chess Club will still be held on
April 14. Due to construction, the April
28 meeting will be cancelled.
Marjorie We have 22 confirmed authors for Saturday’s
Author Fair.
Lauren She will be rethinking how Pizza &
Pages works as many kids are showing up for the pizza but not participating in
the book discussion.
Carol C. Vision screenings, sponsored by the Lions
Cub, will be offered around the storytimes next week.
Carol S. The Lions Club wants us to consider
hosting a Health Fair. Carol attended a
Constant Contacts email marketing workshop last night. We are considering doing this in addition to
our print newsletter. The new security
camera system will have double the number of cameras, better quality images,
and will be accessible from all service desk computers. It will cost over $100,000 and will be
installed at night in April. We will be
getting a new Life/Safety generator that will enable us to keep most major
electrical things operating during power outages. It will be located outside the staff
door. Roof work is expected to begin on
April 20 and last for two weeks. The
crane will be here to move the HVAC system on April 16 & 28. We will open in the late afternoon/evening
those days. Carol will check with Robyn
and the Board as to how the staff will be paid on those days. Painting will take place from April 5 thru
the end of the month. Materials in the
active painting areas will be moved to the meeting rooms for two days in order
to allow time for the paint to dry.
Please let Robyn or Carol know which areas of the building are
uncomfortable during this HVAC transition period. Changes can’t be made during the transition
but the information will be used to ensure a good end result.
