Many of us have been waiting for Consumer Reports Online to become available for public library subscription. This has now happened. We can get unlimited remote access to this product for $1,595 per year, certainly a bargain. I have put up the link with username and password on the Intranet under Database Trials.
I have one problem with it that I have already discussed with our sales rep. There is advertising all over the site, indicating that patrons need to subscribe in order to view the full contents. This is not true. All content is there already. The sales rep. is requesting that Consumer Reports remove these ads, but I don't know when it will happen. Otherwise, it's a great resource! I am certain we will be purchasing this product.
